Pallet Trucks

There are two main types of pallet trucks:
1. Manual Pallet Trucks: Manual pallet trucks are operated by hand and do not require any external power source, such as electricity or fuel. They are designed with a pump handle that the operator uses to raise the forks off the ground, allowing them to slide the forks into the openings of the pallet.
2. Electric Pallet Trucks: Electric pallet trucks, on the other hand, are powered by electric motors and are typically used for heavier loads or in applications where frequent and extended material movement is required. These trucks are equipped with an electric motor that powers the lifting and maneuvering of the load, reducing the physical effort required by the operator. Electric pallet trucks are well-suited for larger warehouses and distribution centers where efficiency and productivity are crucial.
Key components of a pallet truck include:
• Forks: These are the horizontal arms that slide under the pallet to lift and move it. They come in different lengths to accommodate various pallet sizes.
• Pump Handle (Manual Pallet Trucks): Used to pump the hydraulic system to raise the forks off the ground.
• Electric Motor (Electric Pallet Trucks): The motor provides the power for lifting and moving the pallet truck.
• Wheels: Pallet trucks have wheels located at the front and rear. The front wheels are used for steering, while the rear wheels are responsible for supporting the load.
